Processors

Processors are basically like a brain for the computer. The instructions per second are calculated by MHz (millions), GHz (billions), Teruflops (trillions) and Petaflops (quadrillions).

What Are They?

Cool Facts

  • There are around 1 billion transistors in inside a 2nd generation IntelCore Processor

  • Every computer has a processor no matter what type the computer is.

  • A processor is probably the most important part of the computer system.

  • The processor collect instructions & data from the main memory
