What is a storage device?
RAM is the short term memory in your computer. Every time you shut down the computer anything you didn't save is wiped away. It is also a type of computer data storage.
A storage device is a piece of equipment-in a computer- where information is stored such as: videos, photos and saved documents.
A hard drive can just about store any type of data, including: documents, pictures and photos. Storage is a hard drives responsibility.
Types of Storage devices:
A USB stick is a small stick that stores alot of information. You can access this information on any computer as long as they have a USB port. USB is short for Universal Serial Bus.
Why Might I Want To Use a USB stick over a CD?
You might want to use a USB stick rather than a CD because, a USB stick is portable and it is easy to bring anywhere as it is small, and can be placed in any pocket. Also you can store more information in a USB stick rather than a CD.
